Empty modular panels are 19-inch rack panels into which keystone jacks are fitted later, typically offering 24 ports in a 1U body. Because the panel itself carries no class rating, the same chassis can be populated with Cat6, Cat6A or fibre modules, allowing phased capacity growth and mixed-class builds. Models with a rear cable support bar relieve strain on the pairs after termination and protect channel performance.
