The termination uses an injection-molded strength-relief with a removable boot that combines advantages of molded and non-molded terminations. The LS0H halogen-free jacket reduces smoke and corrosive gas in enclosed spaces. Practical installation properties include a nominal cable diameter of 5.7 mm, a minimum bend radius of 23 mm and durability rated to 750 mating cycles. The DataLink 250 design is backward compatible with Category 5 and 5e jacks and is intended for short patch, patch panel and workstation cabling where slim profile and reliable Gigabit/PoE performance are required.
