The HCS T91-M0988-10 OS2 LC-LC duplex zip patch cord is a 1 m pre-terminated two-fiber (duplex) assembly. It carries a LC connector at one end and an LC connector at the other, so panels and equipment using different connector types can be linked without an extra adapter. OS2 singlemode fiber offers low attenuation at 1310 and 1550 nm and is used on long-haul backbone links. The zip (side-by-side) jacket keeps both fibers running together and reduces clutter in cable channels and in front of patch panels. Factory termination gives lower and more repeatable insertion loss than field terminations. Typical use covers data center patch fields, switch-to-panel links and temporary or test connections.
