What environments is this cable intended for?

This cable is intended for outdoor use where mechanical protection is required. The corrugated steel armor and outdoor construction make it suitable for campus and external backbone runs. Consider fiber count (4), OM2 classification and armor type when selecting the cable.

What does OM2 mean and why does it matter?

OM2 denotes a multimode fiber classification. It indicates the cable is multimode and should be evaluated for compatibility with multimode equipment and infrastructure used in your installation.

HCS OM2 4 Fiber Stainless Steel Armored Cable - Outdoor SLT Black E52-00403

SKU: E52-00403

The E52-00403 OM2 4-Fiber Corrugated Steel Armored Outdoor Cable features SLT-SJ construction and a black outer sheath, housing four OM2 multimode fibers. As an outdoor (bina dışı) cable type with corrugated steel armor, it offers added mechanical protection for routes exposed to potential physical stress. The OM2 classification identifies the cable as multimode, applicable in multimode backbone and campus scenarios. When evaluating suitability, consider the explicit attributes: 4 fibers, corrugated steel armor and outdoor-rated construction. Clear model and structural information help ensure accurate product selection for installations that require armored multimode cabling without inferring unlisted performance parameters.
